HRPC Section of Home Department deals with NHRC Cases/OHRC Cases relating to custodial deaths in jail custody and police custody as well as all types of complaints of human rights violations such as problems of bonded labor, child labor, migrant labour, electrocution death, starvation death, industrial issues, health issues, educational issues, lack of basic amenities in villages/hamlets etc. Home Department being the Nodal Department in respect of NHRC/OHRC Cases, it co-ordinates with different Departments of Govt. to submit compliance report to NHRC/OHRC NHRC/OHRC Cases in time. It collects information/action taken report from concerned Departments when a case relates to more than one Department and submits consolidated report to the NHRC/OHRC.
